Notes Document security is a compelling feature of Lotus Notes as the leading platform for collaborative applications.

Notes and Domino enforce security through the Notes client and the Domino server for web access. When Notes data is staged to a relational database for reporting or data warehouse integration, Notes document security is lost.

The Data Modeler emulates Notes document security for staged data by creating security objects in the relational data store and the metadata model.

Document security can be enabled with a single click of the mouse. All security objects are created automatically and completely transparently.

Cognos users using Domino LDAP see the same documents as they do in Notes.
